I just helped load my old hay rake on a trailer for the man from Toledo who bought it. I'm real glad to have it sold. The $100.00 will look good in my bank account.
After a period of loss and turmoil in 2010, I am full of anticipation and looking forward to a much better 2011!
This winter has been rough on most of the country, weather-wise, but not so much here in the Pacific Northwest. Spring Chinook season is just around the corner as are the daffodils and tulips - many of which are already up out of the ground.
I am looking forward to finishing up a couple of the home improvement projects that I started this winter and am anxious to get going on spring/summer yardwork projects. This year we will once again have baby chickies and around the 4th of July we should have a new calf from "Pretty Baby" who is looking sleek, fat, and sassy from good food and daily graining. We are also starting out the year with a pair of weaner pigs, to be butchered around mid-summer, I hope.
