Back on Monday I predicted warm, wet, weather and nowhere near the snow event that was being predicted at that time. Now here we sit...smack dab in the middle of a "Pineapple Express" as it is known. By Sunday evening we might even see some high water in the Cowlitz Valley.
Tip & I re-constructed the home made river gauge that is at the fishing hole. It isn't accurate in "real" river depth but is marked every six inches in order to determine how fast the river is rising. The City of Castle Rock comes up on the dike and check the river levels during high water. It gives them somewhere to go and something to do.
We got the shop all finished today. That was a big job, but it needed to be done. Now I need to finish the livestock barn. It won't be hard to do, just take some time. The nice thing about it is that as I clean I continually gain usable space so the job gets better as you go, not worse.
